Serving Cleveland, OH

While many subcompact crossover SUVs offer a rather simplistic driving experience, the Mazda CX-30 is the exception to the rule. This spirited model debuted in 2020 and brings sporty styling and performance to the table for you to enjoy across every mile. In 2025, the Mazda CX-30 is available with 2.5 and 2.5 Turbo variants. The 2.5 version is available in S, Select Sport, Preferred, and Carbon Edition trims. How do the S and Preferred trim levels compare in key areas?

Performance

The Mazda CX-30 2.5 trim levels all have the same powertrain: a four-cylinder 2.5-liter engine that generates 191 horsepower and pairs with a six-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel drive is standard for all trim levels.

Appearance

With its flowing profile, the 2025 Mazda CX-30 displays athleticism from bumper to bumper. It shows off a long, arched roof with strong definition lines as well as a low-slung roof. The sides are masterfully sculpted with angled contouring and smoothly rounded fenders. The dark molding rounding over the fenders thickens as it passes along the lower door panels. Across the almost flat nose, the wide grille is underscored by chrome trim. This trim extends upward to line the sharply angled LED headlights. The Mazda CX-30 2.5 S comes with 16-inch alloy wheels. The Preferred trim level adds adaptive headlights, a power liftgate, and tinted rear windows.

Features

The entry-level S trim level is remarkably outfitted with features like a six-speaker audio system, an 8.8-inch infotainment system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, forward collision mitigation, lane keeping, adaptive cruise control, a blind-spot warning, and other features. The Premium trim builds on these features with paddle shifters, a Bose 12-speaker sound system, a head-up display, wireless smartphone app integration, a wireless charging pad, a navigation system, heated front seats, memory settings for the driver’s seat, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, keyless entry, and other features.
