The performance features of the 2023 and 2024 Mazda CX-50 are nearly identical, with slight tweaks to the steering and suspension systems. Lower trim levels boast a 187-horsepower, four-cylinder, 2.5-liter gas engine. Higher trim levels offer a turbocharged 2.5-liter, four-cylinder gas engine, generating 227 horsepower, which increases to 256 horsepower with high-octane fuel. Ground clearance varies from 8.3 to 8.6 inches based on the trim level. Some trims include a towing mode and steering wheel paddle shifters. All Mazda CX-50 models come with standard all-wheel drive and an automatic six-speed transmission.


The 2023 and 2024 Mazda CX-50 share an identical stylish design. Characterized by a confident front-end design featuring a wide, upturned grille, sporty air vents, and compact headlights with a U-style LED ribbon in the center. Additional features include dark body molding, a tall roof with a steep descent through the liftgate, and athletically sculpted sides. Options for the Mazda CX-50 may include power-folding and heated side mirrors, all-terrain tires, roof rails, up to 20-inch wheels, a panoramic sunroof, and other exterior enhancements.


While the exterior remains consistent, some interior differences exist between the 2023 and 2024 Mazda CX-50. The 2024 Mazda CX-50, starting from the Premium trim level and higher, now comes standard with wireless smartphone charging and a Bose sound system with 12 speakers. Common features for both model years include driver’s memory settings, leather upholstery, heated front seats, a 10.25-inch central display screen, wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an auto-dimming rear mirror, a head-up display, and various driver assistance technologies.
