At Classic Mazda Westside, we always carry the latest models in our vast inventory, and we are looking forward to showing off the newest additions to the lineup when you visit us soon. For 2024, the three-row Mazda CX-9 crossover has been discontinued. The all-new Mazda CX-90 and Mazda CX-90 PHEV take its place, bringing modern aesthetics, advanced engineering, and the latest features. What should you know about the 2024 Mazda CX-90 and the 2024 Mazda CX-90 PHEV before selecting your next crossover SUV?

Performance

The 2024 Mazda CX-90 has two gas powertrains to compare and choose from. These are a 280-horsepower, I-6, 3.3-liter system and a more advanced V6 that generates 340 horsepower. These engines link to an automatic eight-speed transmission. The 2024 Mazda CX-90 PHEV pairs a single electric motor with a four-cylinder, 2.5-liter gas engine to give you 323 combined horsepower. This engine offers a 26-mile all-electric driving range and an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Appearance

The only noticeable exterior difference between the 2024 Mazda CX-90 and the Mazda CX-90 PHEV is the PHEV’s charging port. These models are defined by chrome trim along the lower perimeter and a chrome bar outlining the large grille. This grille extends outward at the top to connect to the LED headlights. The Mazda CX-90 and Mazda CX-90 PHEV are tall vehicles, and an elegant, rolling profile accompanies their bold size. Exterior features for these models may include 19-inch or larger alloy wheels, auto-dimming side mirrors with power-folding functionality, a panoramic sunroof, roof rails, and a hands-free power liftgate.

Features

These Mazda crossovers have the same five trim levels with comparable features in each one. Some of these items include heated seats in the first two rows, a 12-speaker Bose audio system, quilted leather seats, driver’s memory settings, second-row captain’s chairs, a navigation system, auto reverse braking, parking sensors, active blind-spot assist, a surround-view camera, and a 12.3-inch central display screen.
